  • Used by 3,000+ people for 5 years
  • Local-first & private
  • No account needed

A visual editor and a lightweight DevTools in one

Redesign, customize, inspect and capture any page. The page stays on the left; your tools live in a resizable panel on the right.

  • Quick Edit

Make the whole page editable in one click and type over any text — the classic Edit Webpage experience.

  • Coming in 3.0

    Select & manipulate

Hover to highlight, click to select. Move, resize, duplicate, hide or delete any element — then jump to its parent or children.

  • Coming in 3.0

    Visual CSS editor

Typography, colors, spacing, borders, shadows and layout with live controls. No stylesheet hunting.

  • Coming in 3.0

    DOM & HTML editor

Browse the DOM tree, edit attributes, classes and HTML, and copy selectors, XPath or markup.

  • Coming in 3.0

    Edit many at once

Select every matching element — all .card, all buttons — and restyle them together in one step.

  • Coming in 3.0

    Saved website changes

Keep your tweaks. Edit Page reapplies them automatically whenever you come back, even on single-page apps.

  • Coming in 3.0

    Undo, redo & history

Every change is tracked. Step back, revert one edit, or reset the page — nothing is permanent by accident.

  • Coming in 3.0

    Responsive preview

Jump between phone, tablet and desktop sizes to see how your edits hold up at every breakpoint.

  • Coming in 3.0

    Screenshots & mockups

Capture the viewport, full page, an element or a region. Annotate, blur sensitive details and export.

  • Coming in 3.0

    Asset tools

List and download images, SVGs and fonts. Replace any image with a URL or a file from your computer.

The short version

Edit Page works on your device. Your edits, saved changes and settings stay in your browser. We don't sell data, show ads, or track what you browse.

What the extension stores

Settings and, if you choose to save them, your website changes are stored locally using Chrome's extension storage. Edits you don't save disappear when you reload the page. Nothing about the pages you edit is sent to us.

Permissions

  • activeTab and scripting — run the editor on the tab you choose, only after you click the icon or use a shortcut.
  • storage — remember your settings and saved changes on your device.
  • sidePanel — show the editor in Chrome's side panel, next to the page.
  • Per-site access (optional) — when you ask Edit Page to remember changes for a website, Chrome asks you to allow access to that site only, so changes can be reapplied when you return. You can revoke it at any time.

Accounts and payments (optional)

You never need an account to edit pages. If you later sign in to use Pro, we store your email address, name and plan so we can provide it; sign-in uses Google. Payments are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record — we never see your card details.

Analytics and third parties

The extension contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code, and executes no code loaded from the internet.

Questions

What happened to Edit Webpage?

Edit Webpage is becoming Edit Page. It's the same extension — you'll get the update automatically, and the one-click editing you know is still there as Quick Edit.

Does Edit Page change the real website?

No. Edits only happen in your browser. Other visitors, and the site itself, never see them.

Will my changes stay after I reload?

Quick Edit changes reset on reload. With Edit Page 3.0 you can choose to save changes for a website, and they're reapplied every time you visit.

Do I need an account?

No. Editing works without signing in. An account is only needed for Pro features.

Is it free?

Yes. The core editor is free forever. Pro adds advanced and power-user tools.

Which browsers are supported?

Google Chrome and other Chromium browsers that install from the Chrome Web Store.

Free, private, and one click away in Chrome.
